A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the regulation of riding stables.                                 
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Chapter 2053, Occupations Code, is repealed.                       
	SECTION 2.  (a) Any administrative, civil, or criminal 
proceeding under Chapter 2053, Occupations Code, that is pending 
before the Texas Animal Health Commission or a court on September 1, 
2003, is dismissed on that date.
	(b)  Any unexpended and unobligated appropriations for the 
administration of Chapter 2053, Occupations Code, lapse on 
September 1, 2003.
	SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
