A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to educational requirements for game wardens.                        
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Subchapter B, Chapter 11, Parks and Wildlife 
Code, is amended by adding Section 11.0221 to read as follows:
	Sec. 11.0221.  EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR GAME WARDENS. 
The director shall ensure that the educational qualifications 
required of an applicant for the position of game warden do not 
exceed those required of an applicant for a position as an officer 
with the Department of Public Safety.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
