A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the continuance of the municipal court technology fund and the purposes for which the fund may be used. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Article 102.0172(d), Code of Criminal Procedure, is amended to read as follows: (d) A fund designated by this article may be used only to finance the purchase of or to maintain technological enhancements for a municipal court or municipal court of record, including: (1) computer systems; (2) computer networks; (3) computer hardware; (4) computer software; (5) imaging systems; (6) electronic kiosks; (7) electronic ticket writers; and (8) docket management systems. SECTION 2. Article 102.0172(f), Code of Criminal Procedure, is repealed. SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
