A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to cooperative federal and state wildlife-restoration projects. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 83.003, Parks and Wildlife Code, is amended to read as follows: Sec. 83.003. WILDLIFE-RESTORATION PROJECTS. The department shall establish and conduct cooperative wildlife-restoration projects under an Act of Congress entitled "An Act to provide that the United States shall aid the States in wildlife-restoration projects, and for other purposes" (Public Law No. 415, 75th Congress). The department shall comply with the act and rules and regulations promulgated under the act by the United States secretary of the interior [agriculture]. SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
