A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the application and enforcement of traffic regulations 
in private subdivisions in certain counties.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 542.007(a), Transportation Code, is 
amended to read as follows:
	(a)  This section applies only to a subdivision that is 
located in the unincorporated area of a county with a population of 
500,000 [100,000] or less.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
