A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the fees of office for a director of a groundwater 
conservation district.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 36.060(a), Water Code, is amended to 
read as follows:    
	(a)  A director is entitled to receive fees of office of not 
more than $150 a day for each day the director actually spends 
performing the duties of a director.  [The fees of office may not 
exceed $9,000 a year.]
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
