A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the Transportation Code.                                          
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Chapter 391.034, Transportation Code, is amended 
by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
	(d)  The commission may authorize a local government to 
provide the requisite notice, institute any cause of action, or 
prosecute any criminal provision under this section and recover any 
costs and attorney fees allowed.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
