H.B. No. 1975




AN ACT

relating to providing a physical address for a ballot to be 
delivered to the early voting clerk.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 86.002, Election Code, is amended by 
adding Subsection (f) to read as follows:
	(f)  The clerk shall include with the balloting materials a 
notice of the clerk's physical address for purposes of return by 
common or contract carrier.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2003, and 
applies only to early voting by mail for an election ordered on or 
after that date.
