A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the technology applications credit requirement for graduation from public high school. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 28.025, Education Code, is amended by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: (g) To satisfy a curriculum requirement identified under Subsection (a) that a student earn a technology applications credit, a student may either: (1) earn a credit in a technology applications course specified by State Board of Education rule; or (2) earn three credits in two or more state-approved career and technology education courses. SECTION 2. Section 28.025(g), Education Code, as added by this Act, applies to credit for a career and technology education course earned before, on, or after September 1, 2003. SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
