A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the salary of an assistant county auditor. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 111.013, Local Government Code, is amended to read as follows: Sec. 111.013. LIMITATION ON BUDGET OF COUNTY AUDITOR. An increase from one fiscal year to the next in the amount budgeted for expenses of the county auditor's office [or the salary of an assistant auditor] shall not exceed five (5) percent without approval of the commissioners court. SECTION 2. Section 111.044, Local Government Code, is amended to read as follows: Sec. 111.044. LIMITATION ON BUDGET OF COUNTY AUDITOR. An increase from one fiscal year to the next in the amount budgeted for expenses of the county auditor's office [or the salary of an assistant auditor] shall not exceed five (5) percent without approval of the commissioners court. SECTION 3. Section 111.074, Local Government Code, is amended to read as follows: Sec. 111.074. LIMITATION ON BUDGET OF COUNTY AUDITOR. An increase from one fiscal year to the next in the amount budgeted for expenses of the county auditor's office [or the salary of an assistant auditor] shall not exceed five (5) percent without approval of the commissioners court. SECTION 4. This Act takes effect July 1, 2003, if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for effect on that date, this Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
