A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to establishing an acanthosis nigricans screening program 
in certain public and private schools.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 95.002(b), Health and Safety Code, is 
amended to read as follows:
	(b)  The executive council by rule shall coordinate 
screening of individuals who attend public or private schools 
located in Texas Education Agency Regional Education Service 
Centers 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, 13, 15, 18, 19, and 20.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
