A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to adjusting the service area of the Alvin Community 
College District.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	Section 130.163 of the Texas Education Code shall be amended 
by adding subdivision (3), as follows:
	Section 130.163:  The service area of the Alvin Community 
College District includes the territory within:
		(1)  the Alvin, Danbury, and Pearland Independent 
School Districts;         
		(2)  the part of the Angleton Independent School 
District annexed by the community college district before September 
1, 1995; and
		(3)  any territory within Brazoria County in which the 
Alvin Community College District has been providing services 
continuously since on or before January 1, 1980.
