A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the designation of Caddo Lake, Stream Segment 0401 of 
the Cypress Creek Basin, and Little Cypress Creek, Stream Segment 
0409 of the Cypress Creek Basin, as being of unique ecological 
value.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS.  (a)  The legislature 
finds Caddo Lake, Stream Segment 0401 of the Cypress Creek Basin, 
and its associated wetlands as being of unique ecological value 
pursuant to Section 16.051(f), Water Code.
	(b)  The legislature finds Little Cypress Creek, Stream 
Segment 0409 of the Cypress Creek Basin, as being of unique 
ecological value pursuant to Section 16.051(f), Water Code.
	SECTION 2.  DESIGNATIONS.  (a)  Caddo Lake, Stream Segment 
0401 of the Cypress Creek Basin, is hereby designated as being of 
unique ecological value pursuant to Section 16.051(f), Water Code.
	(b)  Little Cypress Creek, Stream Segment 0409 of the Cypress 
Creek Basin, is hereby designated as being of unique ecological 
value pursuant to Section 16.051(f), Water Code.
	SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
