A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the Bureau of Vital Statistics forms. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 192.009, Health and Safety Code is amended by adding subsection (d) to read as follows: (d) CERTIFICATE OF ADOPTION, ANNULMENT OF ADOPTION, OR REVOCATION OF ADOPTION. Certificates submitted to the state registrar by the clerk of the court, which need correction, shall be mailed directly from the Bureau of Vital Statistics to the attorney of record designated on the certificate. SECTION 2. Section 194.002, Health and Safety Code is amended by adding subsection (f) to read as follows: (f) REPORT OF DIVORCE OR ANNULMENT. Forms submitted to the Bureau of Vital Statistics by the clerk of court, which need correction, shall be mailed directly from the Bureau of Vital Statistics to the attorney of record designated on the certificate. SECTION 3. Section 108.003, Family Code, is amended by adding subsection (c) to read as follows: (c) CORRECTIONS OF BUREAU OF VITAL STATISTICS FORMS. Forms submitted to the Bureau of Vital Statistics shall be mailed directly from the Bureau of Vital Statistics to the attorney of record as designated on the Bureau of Vital Statistics form. SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2003. The changes in law made by this Act applies to all corrections on or after the effective date of this Act.
