A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the reduction of and release from certain child support 
arrearages.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 157.262, Family Code, is amended by 
adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:
	(g)  The Title IV-D agency may provide a release of 
satisfaction of a judgment for the amount by which the arrearages 
assigned to the Title IV-D agency under Section 231.104(a) are 
reduced under Subsection (e).
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
