A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT


relating to a release or satisfaction of a judgment for child 
support arrearages.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 231.002, Family Code, is amended by 
adding Subsection (i) to read as follows:
	(i)  The Title IV-D agency may provide a release or 
satisfaction of a judgment for all or part of the amount of the 
arrearages assigned to the Title IV-D agency under Section 
231.104(a).
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
