A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to informing a consumer of the actual cost of a 
prescription drug or device.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 562.107, Occupations Code, is amended by 
adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
	(d)  Each pharmacy shall make available to a consumer the 
actual cost of the drug or device dispensed to the consumer on the 
consumer's receipt listed separately from the amount charged to the 
consumer.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
