A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to access to criminal history record information by a law
enforcement training school.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 411.112, Government Code, is amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 411.112. Access to Criminal History Record
Information: Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and
Education. The Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and
Education or a training school licensed under Chapter 1701,
Occupations Code, is entitled to obtain from the department
criminal history record information maintained by the department
that relates to a person who is:
(1) an applicant for a license under Chapter 1701,
Occupations Code 415; or
(2) the holder of a license under that chapter; or
(3) an applicant to attend a course from a training
school licensed under Chapter 1701, Occupations Code.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
