A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the implementation of an Internet-based platform for 
import and export activities of state agencies.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Subchapter B, Chapter 2155, Government Code, is 
amended by adding Section 2155.085 to read as follows:
	Sec. 2155.085.  IMPORT AND EXPORT ACTIVITIES.  (a)  The 
commission shall implement an Internet-based platform to manage 
import and export activities by state agencies. The platform shall 
comply with federal law, including 19 U.S.C. Section 1484, as 
amended.
	(b)  A state agency shall report information relating to the 
agency's import and export activities as directed by the 
commission.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
