CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
	WHEREAS, Soldiers from Fort Hood have been and continue to be 
deployed as part of Operation Enduring Freedom; and
	WHEREAS, These troops join other Texas army and air force 
personnel who have been assigned to this operation, including those 
from Fort Bliss, Fort Sam Houston, Dyess Air Force Base, and 
Lackland Air Force Base, as well as members of National Guard and 
reserve units throughout the state; and
	WHEREAS, American citizens owe an immeasurable debt to their 
military personnel, whose efforts have secured this nation's 
treasured liberties and made it the greatest country in the world; 
and
	WHEREAS, At this time of grave crisis, we recognize these men 
and women and their families for the tremendous sacrifices they 
make in behalf of their country, and we encourage the communities in 
which they live to offer them understanding and support during this 
hour of world concern; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the 78th Legislature of the State of Texas 
hereby wish Godspeed to the soldiers from Fort Hood and all United 
States service personnel on the occasion of their deployment with 
Operation Enduring Freedom and offer its prayers for their safe 
return.
