H.C.R. No. 49
HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Ernest Mason of Dunbar High School in Fort Worth has
been named a U.S. Army All-American in recognition of his
remarkable achievements on the gridiron; and
WHEREAS, A wide receiver with game-breaking skills, Mr. Mason
possesses a potent array of physical gifts, including speed,
strength, agility, and body control, that make him one of the most
highly regarded high school football players in the nation; and
WHEREAS, This exceptional Texan was chosen from a field of
400 players to be a U.S. Army All-American, and through his
selection, Mr. Mason was accorded the honor of playing in the U.S.
Army All-American Bowl, which was held at the Alamodome on January
5, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Mason has combined his considerable athletic
gifts with an unrelenting dedication to excellence; through his
efforts, he has become one of our nation's premier high school
football players, and it is appropriate that he receive special
legislative commendation at this time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the 78th Legislature of the State of Texas
hereby congratulate Ernest Mason on his selection as a U.S. Army
All-American and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Mason as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives and Senate.
