H.C.R. No. 152
HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Students and teachers from the Galloway School in
Houston are visiting the State Capitol on Thursday, March 27, 2003;
and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1993 by James H. Galloway, this
nonprofit, nondenominational private school possesses a successful
blueprint for an exceptional education, and its enrollment has
increased from 19 to 110 students in the preschool, elementary, and
intermediate grade levels; and
WHEREAS, The faculty and staff of the Galloway School strive
to help their students develop creative as well as critical
thinking skills while providing a Christian environment that will
nourish each child's self-esteem; the pupils enjoy the benefits of
a low student-teacher ratio, a curriculum rich in outstanding
learning programs, and teachers who are committed to providing the
highest quality education available; and
WHEREAS, By promoting academic excellence as well as building
strong character, the Galloway School is ably preparing its
students to face the challenges and opportunities of the future; at
this time, it is a pleasure to recognize these fine young citizens
and future leaders of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the 78th Legislature of the State of Texas
hereby welcome the faculty and students of the Galloway School and
extend to them warmest best wishes for an informative and memorable
visit to the State Capitol.
