H.C.R. No. 175



HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
	WHEREAS, Melanie DeGrand of Roger E. Souder Elementary School 
has been named Teacher of the Year for 2001-2002 by the Everman 
Independent School District; and
	WHEREAS, A third grade teacher, Ms. DeGrand inspires her 
students to excel, and because of her exceptional instruction, her 
pupils are firmly set on the path to a bright future; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. DeGrand exemplifies the best in her noble 
profession, and it is truly a privilege to recognize this 
outstanding educator at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the 78th Legislature of the State of Texas 
hereby congratulate Melanie DeGrand on her receipt of a 2001-2002 
Teacher of the Year award and extend to her sincere best wishes for 
success and happiness in the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. DeGrand as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
