H.C.R. No. 238
HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, A. M. Pate Elementary School has been awarded
"recognized" status by the Texas Education Agency for its overall
excellence in academic achievement; and
WHEREAS, Among the criteria that must be met to attain this
status are good scores on the Texas Assessment of Academic Skills
(TAAS) examination and a low dropout rate; and
WHEREAS, Enhanced academic achievement is the goal of all
schools statewide, and attaining this designation as a recognized
school indicates that the students and faculty at A. M. Pate
Elementary School have performed admirably in their pursuit of this
goal; and
WHEREAS, The notable achievements of these fine Texans and
this designation from the Texas Education Agency are indeed worthy
of special recognition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the 78th Legislature of the State of Texas
hereby congratulate the students and faculty of A. M. Pate
Elementary School on their school's designation as "recognized" by
the Texas Education Agency and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for A. M. Pate Elementary School as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
