H.C.R. No. 289


HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, House Bill No. 2343 has been adopted by the house of representatives and the senate and is being prepared for enrollment; and WHEREAS, The bill contains technical errors that should be corrected; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the 78th Legislature of the State of Texas, That the enrolling clerk of the house of representatives be instructed to make the following corrections: (1) In SECTION 1(b) of the bill, strike "If Walker County uses the property for any purpose other than a purpose that benefits the public interest of the state," and substitute "If Walker County uses the property for any purpose other than the construction and operation of a museum that memorializes veterans,". (2) In SECTION 1(c)(1)(A) of the bill, strike "Walker County may use the property only for a purpose that benefits the public interest of the state" and substitute "Walker County shall use the property only for the construction and operation of a museum that memorializes veterans".
