R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, On February 4, 2003, a delegation from Air Force 
Village I and II in San Antonio will gather in Austin to attend the 
Senior Day festivities at the State Capitol; and
	WHEREAS, Residents of Air Force Village are distinguished not 
only for their role as senior citizens, but also for the tremendous 
dedication, sacrifice, and selfless service they have given in 
defense of our great nation; and
	WHEREAS, As serving members of our Armed Forces, these 
courageous individuals stood at the forefront in the defense of the 
liberties and freedoms that are the hallmark of the United States of 
America; and
	WHEREAS, These proud Americans continue to serve as 
representatives to various committees, delegations, charitable 
organizations, and community interest groups throughout San 
Antonio and Texas; and
	WHEREAS, Led here today by Colonel Homer W. Lear, this group 
of notable citizens is indeed owed a great debt of thanks from the 
State of Texas; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby recognize and pay tribute to the residents of 
Air Force Village as they visit the State Capitol in observance of 
Senior Day; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Air Force Village delegation as an expression of 
high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
