H.R. No. 121
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Seth Alan McKinney and Paige Elizabeth McKinney
welcomed their precious baby girl, Kate Elizabeth McKinney, into
the world on December 16, 2002; and
WHEREAS, Kate weighed 8 pounds and measured 20-1/2 inches in
length when she made her debut at 8:20 p.m. at Memorial Regional
Hospital in Hollywood, Florida; and
WHEREAS, Her arrival has been a source of great pride to the
family's extensive circle of family and friends, particularly for
her doting grandparents, former State Representative Mike McKinney
and his wife, Lou Ann McKinney, and Jimmy Kizer and Barbara Kizer;
and
WHEREAS, Though Kate's devoted parents now reside in Florida,
where Mr. McKinney is an offensive lineman for the Miami Dolphins,
both are proud Texans and graduates of Texas A&M University; and
WHEREAS, Kate Elizabeth McKinney has a distinguished Texas
lineage, and it is thus fitting that this adorable little girl be
accorded special Texas citizenship at this time; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Seth Alan McKinney and Paige
Elizabeth McKinney on the birth of their cherished daughter, Kate
Elizabeth McKinney, and recognize Miss McKinney as an honorary
Texan; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the McKinney family as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
