H.R. No. 130
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The seventh annual Christian Education Academy is
being held February 22, 2003, in Fort Worth, and this year's session
is dedicated to Claudia Anderson; and
WHEREAS, Hosted by Zion Missionary Baptist Church, the
Christian Education Academy seeks to meet the spiritual, physical,
social, cultural, and emotional needs of women throughout North
Texas; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Anderson is founder of the academy and
president of the Women's Missionary Union Auxiliary of the North
Texas District Association; a native of Brennan, she earned a
bachelor's degree from Prairie View A&M University and went on to
complete postgraduate studies at Prairie View as well; and
WHEREAS, For 31 years, Mrs. Anderson was committed to
providing her students in the Fort Worth Independent School
District with an excellent education; since retiring, she has
devoted much of her time and energy to promoting Christian
education; and
WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has made an immeasurable
difference in the lives of countless people, and all who take part
in the Christian Education Academy are thankful for her wisdom and
gracious guidance; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Claudia Anderson for her vision and
leadership and extend sincere best wishes to all who have
contributed to the seventh annual Christian Education Academy; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mrs. Anderson as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
