H.R. No. 165



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Ocie High of Dallas is a recipient of an Outstanding 
Texan Award from the Texas Legislative Black Caucus; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. High has demonstrated a deeply rooted commitment 
to academic excellence by enrolling in honors and dual-credit 
classes at his high school and local college; his success is 
evidenced by a nomination for inclusion on the National Honor Roll; 
and
	WHEREAS, In addition to his studies, this exceptional young 
man is an active member of the Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training 
Corps, and has received numerous commendations from this 
organization, including awards for conduct, aptitude, and values; 
and
	WHEREAS, Ocie High is a source of tremendous pride to his 
family and to his fellow students, and it is most appropriate that 
he be honored; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Ocie High on his receipt of an 
Outstanding Texan Award from the Texas Legislative Black Caucus and 
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. High as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
