H.R. No. 242
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Texas native Justin Snow of the Indianapolis Colts
has achieved outstanding success in his athletic endeavors, and his
accomplishments merit special recognition; and
WHEREAS, An all-state football player at Abilene Cooper High
School, Mr. Snow pursued his higher education at Baylor University,
where he was a four-year letterman for the football team; and
WHEREAS, Equally dedicated to his studies while in college,
he earned a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and
disorders, a subject of special interest to Mr. Snow because his
brother, Brian, had cerebral palsy; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Snow prepared himself for the rigors of play in
the National Football League throughout his collegiate career with
a stringent regimen that increased his weight, strength, and
agility, and he was rewarded in 2000 when he was signed as a free
agent by the Indianapolis Colts; and
WHEREAS, During three seasons with the Colts, this highly
motivated young man has won playing time as a special teams member
and deep snapper, earning the respect of teammates and opponents
alike; and
WHEREAS, Justin Snow is a credit to his team, his family, and
his state, and it is appropriate that he receive special
legislative recognition at this time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Justin Snow on his many notable
athletic achievements and extend to him sincere best wishes for
continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Snow as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
