H.R. No. 259
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Central and South Texas Minority Business
Council is dedicated to supporting minority-owned business
enterprises through a range of proactive services and programs; and
WHEREAS, The mission of this notable organization is to
create opportunities for the growth and expansion of minority-owned
businesses, while actively involving corporate members in positive
business relationships; and
WHEREAS, The council also seeks to create an environment that
encourages success by assisting corporations in the implementation
of corporate supplier diversity plans and by helping companies to
meet their diversity goals; and
WHEREAS, The council coordinates events, including
opportunity fairs, expos, and showcases, in an effort to facilitate
networking opportunities for business owners and to cultivate
visibility, recognition, and identity in the marketplace; and
WHEREAS, Seminars, workshops, and educational programs
provide members with advice and training necessary to succeed in a
highly competitive environment; and
WHEREAS, Promoting minority-owned business enterprises is a
pursuit that is worthy of special recognition, and the Texas House
of Representatives is pleased to honor the Central and South Texas
Minority Business Council for its dedication to this goal; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the Central and South Texas
Minority Business Council for its outstanding support of
minority-owned business enterprises; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the Central and South Texas Minority Business Council
as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of
Representatives.
