R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Beatrice Ceballos Longoria
on January 4, 2003, has brought a great loss to the family and
friends of this beloved woman; and
WHEREAS, A native of Seguin, Mrs. Longoria was born July 4,
1957, to proud parents Manuel and Maria Ceballos; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Longoria married her husband Ruben in 1993 and
the two enjoyed a happy and rewarding marriage; a proud and devoted
mother, she nurtured and sustained her children with loving care,
insight, and wisdom; and
WHEREAS, She was a valued member and faithful congregant of
Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church; and
WHEREAS, This warm and gracious woman enriched the lives of
many and though her presence is deeply missed, her spirit lives on
in the grateful hearts of those whose lives she touched; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Beatrice Ceballos
Longoria and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family:
to her husband, Ruben Longoria; to her daughters, Christina Davila
and Gina Longoria; to her parents, Manuel and Maria Ceballos; to her
brothers, Henry Ceballos, Manuel Ceballos, Jr., and Alex Ceballos;
to her sisters, Dolores Ceballos, Diana Ceballos, and Barbara
Ceballos; to her granddaughter, Mia Venegas; and to her many other
friends and relatives; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Beatrice
Ceballos Longoria.
