R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, On February 27-28, 2003, the American Institute of Architects in San Antonio is hosting the Pan American Federation of Architect Associations International Conference, and it is a pleasure to welcome conference participants to the Lone Star State; and WHEREAS, The Pan American Federation of Architect Associations meets twice a year in North, Central, and South America; the alternating location brings conference participants to the United States roughly every five years; and WHEREAS, This year, some 16 to 20 countries will send their top architects to the conference to discuss the latest issues in international trade as it relates to architectural practice, practice standards, and educational standards; specifics on licensing and reciprocity are also slated to be addressed during the two-day event; and WHEREAS, Men and women around the globe have benefited from advancements in architecture, and it is a pleasure to welcome some of the industry's leaders to the Lone Star State as they look toward the future in this ever-changing field; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby recognize the Pan American Federation of Architect Associations 2003 International Conference and extend a warm welcome to Texas and sincere best wishes to all those associated with the conference; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the Pan American Federation of Architect Associations as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
