H.R. No. 364


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The passing of Zara L. Robinson-Davis of Eagle Lake on February 17, 2003, at the age of 94, has deeply saddened the family and friends of this esteemed Texan; and WHEREAS, Born on February 29, 1908, in Eagle Lake, Mrs. Robinson-Davis shared nearly 60 years of marriage with Lemuel Henry Davis, and they filled their life together with many happy times and cherished family memories; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Robinson-Davis was the mother of three daughters, Ollie Mae Jackson, Rosetta Jean Davis, and Iva Jewel Price, and over the course of her lifetime, she enjoyed the love and affection of seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Remembered for her ability to make other people happy, Mrs. Robinson-Davis earned a lasting place in the hearts of her family and friends; although her presence is profoundly missed, her spirit will continue to live on in the memory of all those who were fortunate enough to have known her; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby pay special tribute to the life of Zara L. Robinson-Davis and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her daughters, Ollie Mae Jackson, Rosetta Jean Davis, and Iva Jewel Price; to her seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and many friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Zara L.
