R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, On November 22, 2002, Stanley and Jo Rever of 
Midland celebrated 50 years of marriage; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony on November 22, 1952, at 
Lubbock's First Methodist Church, Mr. Rever and the former Jo 
Felton have since shared many happy times and cherished family 
moments; and
	WHEREAS, The Revers are the parents of Jan Mann of Midland and 
Kay Bode of Arlington, and they have also been blessed with four 
grandchildren, Shannon Mann, Erica Bode, Andrea Bode, and 
Christopher Bode; and
	WHEREAS, A former landman with Phillips Petroleum Company, 
Mr. Rever retired from Sun/Oryx Energy Company in 1988, while Mrs. 
Rever has been a dedicated homemaker; the couple are now leading an 
active retirement in Midland, where they are longtime members of 
St. Mark's United Methodist Church; and
	WHEREAS, For half a century, Mr. and Mrs. Rever have enjoyed a 
strong and loving union that has inspired family and friends alike, 
and this remarkable couple are most deserving of all the joy and 
good fortune with which they have been blessed; now, therefore, be 
it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Stanley and Jo Rever on their 
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes 
for continued happiness in their life together; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Rever as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
