R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The year 2002 marked a milestone in the marriage of 
Billy and Gloria Crites of Midland, for the couple celebrated their 
50th wedding anniversary with a cruise to Mexico and Belize that was 
a gift from their family; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony on November 15, 1952, Mr. Crites 
and the former Gloria Little have enjoyed many happy times and 
cherished family memories during their five decades of marriage; 
and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Crites is a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force 
and served in Korea, Japan, and Vietnam; after retiring from the 
armed services, he worked as plant manager for Drilco Industrial 
and Fuel Harvesters Equipment; and
	WHEREAS, Graduates of Midland High School, Mr. and Mrs. 
Crites have been blessed with two children, Robert Crites and 
Stacey Carlisle, and five grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, This devoted couple have built their relationship on 
a foundation of respect, trust, and mutual understanding, and their 
love for one another continues to brighten the lives of their family 
and friends; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Billy and Gloria Crites on their 
golden wedding anniversary and successful marriage; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Crites as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
