H.R. No. 448



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, W. J. "Dub" Richmond and Brockie Richmond of Midland 
marked a significant milestone in their lives on December 5, 2002, 
when they celebrated 50 rewarding years of marriage; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Richmond and the former Brockie McCasland were  
united in matrimony in 1952 at the home of the bride's parents in 
the community of Center; and
	WHEREAS, Together they have raised a daughter and a son, 
Melissa Hendricks of The Woodlands and Steve Richmond of 
Georgetown, and they have been further blessed with two 
grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Since Mr. Richmond's retirement from Exxon, the 
couple have enjoyed having more time to spend with family and 
friends, as well as to pursue their varied interests; and
	WHEREAS, Dub and Brockie Richmond have long shared a strong 
and lasting marriage filled with many happy times and cherished 
family memories, and their relationship remains a source of 
inspiration to all who know and love them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate W. J. "Dub" Richmond and Brockie 
Richmond on the memorable occasion of their 50th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 
happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Richmond as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
