H.R. No. 457
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, On December 20, 2002, Wayne and Bobbie Gardner of
Midland celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, and this
milestone event is indeed deserving of special recognition; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Gardner and the former Bobbie Oden were united
in marriage on December 20, 1952, in Knox City; their strong and
loving union has been blessed with three children, five
grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Midland residents since 1955, the Gardners are
respected members of the community; Mr. Gardner is a retired truck
driver and devoted husband, while Mrs. Gardner has been a loving and
supportive wife throughout their marriage; and
WHEREAS, For 50 years, Wayne and Bobbie Gardner have shared
their lives with one another, inspiring family and friends in all
that they do, and their golden wedding anniversary provides a
fitting opportunity to honor this special couple; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Wayne and Bobbie Gardner of Midland
on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend best wishes to them for
continued happiness in the years to come; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gardner as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
