                                                                  H.R. No. 458



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for a 
celebration, and on October 12, 2002, Victor and Nancy Hardy of 
Midland marked this joyous occasion in their marriage with a 
reception in the First Baptist Church parlor; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Hardy and the former Nancy Bright began their 
journey as husband and wife on October 12, 1952, in a ceremony at 
First Baptist Church in McAllen; and
	WHEREAS, Through the years, the couple have enjoyed a loving 
and supportive relationship that has been blessed with a son, John 
W. Hardy, and two grandsons; and
	WHEREAS, Treasured by their loved ones, Mr. and Mrs. Hardy 
have shared life's trials and triumphs for half a century, and it is 
indeed appropriate that they be honored at this time; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Victor and Nancy Hardy on the 
occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them best 
wishes for future happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hardy as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
