                                                                  H.R. No. 460



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, On November 16, 2002, Eugene and Dorothy Hirt 
celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in the company of 
family and friends at St. Lawrence Catholic Church; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony in Rowena on January 3, 1953, 
Mr. Hirt and the former Dorothy Droll have shared a happy marriage 
that has grown ever stronger with each passing year; and
	WHEREAS, Members of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and Veterans 
of the Korean War, the Hirts have been blessed with a close-knit 
family that includes their daughters Roxanne Orr and Cecelia 
Matthews, son Duane Hirt, and eight grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Their enduring union has been built on a foundation 
of love, trust, and mutual respect and remains an inspiration to 
family and friends alike; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby honor Eugene and Dorothy Hirt on the momentous 
occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hirt as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
