R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Mack and Josephine Morris of Midland celebrated 
their golden wedding anniversary at Alamo Heights Baptist Church on 
November 23, 2002; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony on November 23, 1952, in Lander, 
Wyoming, Mr. and Mrs. Morris have since been blessed with three 
children, Dian White, Paul Morris, and Mack Morris; over the years, 
they have also proudly watched their family grow to include six 
grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Morris have been valued members of the 
Midland community since 1978; now retired, Mrs. Morris worked for 
J. C. Penney for 16 years, and Mr. Morris was employed with Amoco 
Production for  22 years; and
	WHEREAS, For half a century, this devoted couple have enjoyed 
an enduring union filled with many happy times and cherished family 
memories, and their marriage remains an inspiration to all who know 
them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Mack and Josephine Morris on the 
joyous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to 
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Morris as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
