R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Reverend Robert D. "Bob" and Marlene Mason of 
Midland marked a golden milestone in their lives when they 
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 29, 2002, at 
the Kelview Heights Baptist Church in Midland; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony on December 28, 1952, in Borger, 
the Masons have been blessed with five children, Carla Williams, 
Coleen Catalano, Don Robert Mason, Elana Mims, and Rodney B. Mason; 
they also are the proud grandparents of 15 grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, The Masons met while they were students at the 
Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri; since their 
marriage, Reverend Mason has pastored churches in Clovis, New 
Mexico; El Paso, Texas; Connersville, Indiana; Hialeah, Florida; 
and Montgomery, Alabama; and they are currently members of Kelview 
Heights Baptist Church in Midland; and
	WHEREAS, For half a century, this devoted couple have shared 
a deep and ever-growing bond of love, and their enduring union has 
been filled over the years with many happy times and cherished 
family memories; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate the Reverend Bob and Marlene Mason 
on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them warmest wishes  
for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Reverend and Mrs. Mason as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
