H.R. No. 470



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Two longtime residents of Midland, John and JoAnn 
Millwee, recently commemorated an important milestone in their 
lives, their 50th wedding anniversary, with a celebratory family 
dinner at the Midland Country Club; and
	WHEREAS, John Millwee and the former JoAnn LeMaster were 
united in marriage on January 6, 1953, at a ceremony held in the 
LeMaster family home in Odessa; over the course of the next five 
decades, the couple lovingly raised their two cherished daughters, 
Lynda and Sandy, and together built a successful business in the oil 
and gas industry and made many important contributions to the 
Permian Basin community; and
	WHEREAS, This exceptional couple has enjoyed an enduring 
relationship that has grown in love and mutual respect with each 
passing year, and Mr. and Mrs. Millwee are a source of tremendous 
inspiration to the many friends and relatives with whom they have 
shared the richness of their life together; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature heartily congratulate John and JoAnn Millwee on the 
joyous occasion of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to 
them warmest best wishes for many more years of continued 
happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Millwee as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
