H.R. No. 541



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the 
founding of the Houstonaires Republican Women, it is indeed fitting 
to honor Dottie Sanders, cofounder and longtime president of the 
organization; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Sanders has served six terms as president during 
the Houstonaires 25-year existence and remains a mentor to many of 
the group's members; she also has served as vice president, 
secretary, parliamentarian, and ways and means chair over the past 
2-1/2 decades; and
	WHEREAS, This dedicated woman is well known for her civic and 
political contributions, which include multiple years of service on 
the board of the Greater Houston Council and serving as cochair of 
the Galleria Victory '90 Phone Bank; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Sanders is a member of the Texas Federation of 
Republican Women and has served as precinct chair and member of the 
leadership training committee of the Republican Party of Harris 
County; and
	WHEREAS, Dottie Sanders is truly an inspiration, and it is a 
great pleasure to honor her and recognize her many accomplishments 
in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the Houstonaires 
Republican Women; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That Dottie Sanders be commended for her many years 
of service with the Houstonaires Republican Women and that all 
those associated with this organization be congratulated on the 
occasion of its 25th anniversary; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Sanders as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
