R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Dinner Bell restaurant in Van is a beloved dining establishment, and its owner, Debbie Stone, is a true friend to the community; and WHEREAS, Ms. Stone has operated the popular Van eatery for 27 years, and she also has worked to better the lives of people in her community, especially children; and WHEREAS, As a special holiday treat, Ms. Stone invites local school children to have hot chocolate and cookies, and she decorates her restaurant with new and elaborate Christmas decorations each year; and WHEREAS, The Van Economic Development Board has presented Ms. Stone with a plaque commemorating her service to the community, a most deserving honor for this esteemed lady who has delighted residents and travelers from around the globe; and WHEREAS, Ms. Stone and the Dinner Bell are a source of great pride for the citizens of Van, and it is a pleasure to pay tribute to this esteemed lady for her commitment and hard work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby honor Debbie Stone and her Dinner Bell restaurant and extend to her sincere best wishes for future success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for prominent display at the Dinner Bell restaurant as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
