H.R. No. 616



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives mourns the 
passing of Texas State Representative Irma Lerma Rangel on March 
18, 2003; and
	WHEREAS, Representative Rangel was a pioneer for the women 
and Latino community of Texas, a colleague to every member of this 
house, and a mentor to many members of this house; and
	WHEREAS, The house has traditionally met in solemn memorial 
service to observe the passing of an honored colleague; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature meet in memorial session in the Hall of the House of 
Representatives for that purpose on Monday, March 31, 2003, at 9 
a.m.; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That all members of the executive branch, judicial 
branch, and Texas Senate be humbly invited to join the members of 
the house at that hour.
