R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A beloved patriarch is commemorating a momentous day 
in his life when Maximiliano Villagomez of Houston celebrates his 
92nd birthday on March 30, 2003; and
	WHEREAS, Born on March 30, 1911, Mr. Villagomez immigrated to 
the United States in the early 1950s from La Hacienda de San Pedro 
de Ciudad Teran in the Mexican state of Nuevo León; and
	WHEREAS, Through hard work and determination, this 
courageous gentleman carved out a better life for himself and his 
family; today, Mr. Villagomez is a valued member of the Houston 
community who resides in the Magnolia neighborhood; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Villagomez can take great pride not only in his 
own achievements but also in the accomplishments of his 13 children 
and more than 60 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, During his long and fruitful life, Mr. Villagomez 
has earned the great love of his family for whom he has worked and 
risked so much and the respect and admiration of all those who have 
been privileged to share in his good company and his positive and 
happy outlook; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Maximiliano Villagomez on his 92nd 
birthday and extend to him warmest best wishes for a joyous and 
memorable celebration; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Villagomez as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
