R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Members of the Leadership Round Rock Class of 2003 are visiting the Capitol on Tuesday, April 15, 2003, to gain further insight into the workings of state government; and WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce for the past 17 years, Leadership Round Rock provides opportunities over its nine-month term for program participants to increase their knowledge of vital public issues and to visit with the leaders who are making decisions that affect their community; and WHEREAS, Among the many topics participants explore in the program are city, county, and state government, education at the district and higher education levels, health care, regional economic development issues, and various community services; and WHEREAS, The Leadership Round Rock program endeavors to build a more informed and involved citizenry and to develop new leaders who can help to achieve such notable goals, and it is a pleasure to join in honoring all those associated with this fine program at this time; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby recognize the members of the Leadership Round Rock Class of 2003 and extend sincere best wishes to them for a memorable and informative visit to the State Capitol; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Leadership Round Rock as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
