H.R. No. 640



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Pamela Smith has been named San Felipe Del Rio 
Consolidated Independent School District Secondary Teacher of the 
Year; and
	WHEREAS, This outstanding teacher was selected to receive 
this award on the strength of her proven dedication as a mentor, 
motivator, and innovator in education, as well as her ability to 
make learning fun and exciting; and
	WHEREAS, A language arts teacher at San Felipe Middle School, 
Ms. Smith was recognized at the Third Annual Teacher Appreciation 
Celebration held at the Del Rio Civic Center; and
	WHEREAS, With her students' welfare as her utmost concern and 
widely admired for her compassion and concern for her pupils, Ms. 
Smith exemplifies the best of her noble profession, and it is truly 
a privilege to recognize this outstanding educator at this time; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Pamela Smith on being named San 
Felipe Del Rio Consolidated Independent School District Secondary 
Teacher of the Year and extend to her sincere best wishes for 
success and happiness in all future endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Smith as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
