R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Texoma Community Credit Union (TCCU) is 
celebrating 50 years of service to North Texas, and this 
anniversary provides the opportunity to recognize the 
institution's noteworthy history; and
	WHEREAS, In a cooperative spirit, 17 Wichita Falls residents 
chartered National Federation of Federal Employees Local 779 Credit 
Union in 1953; over the ensuing years, the institution experienced 
tremendous growth, and after merging with numerous other credit 
unions, TCCU assumed its current name in 1984; and
	WHEREAS, Now more than 10,000 members strong, TCCU is open to 
anyone who lives or works in Wichita, Archer, Baylor, Clay, Ford, 
Hardeman, Jack, Montague, Throckmorton, Wilbarger, or Young 
County; and
	WHEREAS, Synonymous with quality, reliability, and vision, 
Texoma Community Credit Union is truly deserving of commendation 
both for its impressive history of service to North Texans and for 
its continued commitment to the credit union philosophy of "People 
Helping People"; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate all those associated with Texoma 
Community Credit Union on the institution's 50 years of 
distinguished service to the community and extend to them sincere 
best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Texoma Community Credit Union as an expression of 
high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
